FAQ

What kind of activities will my child participate in?

The activities have been designed to engage children in various ways including active games, craft, singing, education sessions, quizzes and worksheets, while teaching them lessons and truths from the Bible.

My child is now in high school but wants to join the Treasure Seekers Program – are they allowed?

The Treasure Seekers Program is tailored for preschool and primary school children (Prep – Year 6), however we are happy to have slightly older children in Year 7 continue to join as well, especially if they have younger siblings who are attending.

My child is in Year 6 but wants to join the GenYOUTH Program – are they allowed?

The GenYOUTH Program is tailored for high school children and above (Year 7+) however we are happy to have slightly younger children in Year 6 join in especially if they have older siblings who are attending.

Is my child required to be Christian to attend?

We welcome and encourage all children to attend, irrespective of their beliefs.

I have registered on Eventbrite – do I need to do anything else?

Yes, you will need to complete our registration form to enrol your child into the Program. Our forms ask additional questions to help tailor the program for your child’s age and any special needs.

Are the program leaders screened and approved to work with children?

Yes, all the leaders are volunteers and hold a valid Working With Children’s Check (WWCC). This number is included on every leader’s name badge if verification is required.

Can someone else collect my child?

Please inform those at the registration desk or email bexleytreasureseekers@gmail.com if someone other than the registering parent/caregiver will be picking up your child at the conclusion of the program.

Does my child need to attend the whole program or can they come for selected days?

We welcome children to attend as many days as they can, even if it is just 1 day.

Can I pick up my child early?

To enjoy the entire program and ensure children are able to participate in all activities, it is preferable that they stay for the entire program of the day. However if there is an emergency / urgent need or the child is unwell parents are free to sign out their child early.

What happens at the Family Program on Saturday, and who should attend?

The Family Program commences with a free dinner, followed by a short program which celebrates and highlights the week of activities (performances, quizzes, singing, short message). Prizes will be given to all who attended during the week.

We also encourage children to wear fancy dress (especially in the theme of the week) for that added bit of fun!

The whole family (extended relatives too!) are all welcome to come!
